Reasons to Choose CBO as Your Canoe Trip Outfitter
A Long Tradition of Excellence. For over 40 years Canadian Border Outfitters has been introducing families, groups of friends, fishing enthusiasts and wilderness adventurers to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area of Minnesota and Quetico Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada. Our guests often include generations of family members returning to CBO to share this wilderness experience the way they remember it (see what some of our customers have to say). It has been said that the only thing that CBO over looks is Moose Lake. A true testament to the attention to detail in practice at CBO.
Location. CBO does actually look out over Moose Lake. Spend all the time you can in the environment you came to enjoy. Moose Lake is considered the gateway to Canada's Quetico Provincial Park and is central to the US Boundary Waters Canoe Area's prime entry points. The moment you arrive at CBO you are a part of Canoe Country; the beckoning water, the eagles, the loon's calling, the lingering sunset and the Northern Lights are all right here.
Facilities and Service. Our base camp has it all. Everything you need for a great canoe country experience is right here. Canoes, equipment/gear, tow boats/van service, over night lodging in our bunkhouse, yurts or motel rooms all right here on Moose Lake. Our lakeside cook shack offers breakfast and evening meals. Our store carries tackle, bait, Minnesota Fishing Licenses, Boundary Waters Permit issue station, along with souvenirs, snacks and camping supplies. All on Moose Lake.
Our Staff is here to insure your experience is at least everything you were expecting. We will work closely with you from the moment you call or email CBO and throughout the planning of your canoe country experience. We will do our best to meet your expectations, whether that is issuing your BWCA permit, tailoring a route and trip to meet your preconceptions, or just listening to the results of a great trip. The CBO staff is here to make a difference.
Pre-entry orientation. Not only will you and your group receive detailed trip routing, but a visit to our own Lakeside Campsite gives you and your group first hand experience with the gear, equipment and canoes you will be using on your trip. Practice hanging your food packs, test a bent shaft paddle and check your camp stove operations.
The Best Value. Whatever your needs are, our goal is to provide you with the best overall canoe country experience possible. We offer options from just parking and unloading at our base on Moose Lake, to complete interior outfitting and fly-in expedition packages. We have packages for expedition extreme travelers, excursion packages, base camping packages, and tailored packages for large nonprofit groups.
