Reality "Bears" Telling!

is photo that we culled out of the dozens from our recent trip. I really
liked the red-eye affect the flash gave the treed bear! The photo is proof
positive that:
There are bears in the BWCAW.
They can climb.
They want your food.
Even in broad daylight.
Even on small islands. (I could have thrown a rock the full length of this one, but notice that his/her fur isn't wet!)
That hanging food in the trees slows them down.
But given enough time, they'll still get it (this one was busy clawing through the cross bar when we returned to chase it off!)
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip, and at least I and the kids fully intend on coming back next year.
